Animal Fun Facts

Did you know, a mouse’s hearing is so acute, one of these little guys (or gals) can hear ultrasound up to to 90kHz! Mice are such amazing creatures they even serenade each other with songs.
Plant- Based Pantry

Who likes chocolate and peanut butter? If you’re a bit of an addict to sweet treats as I am, why not try a batch of Peanut Butter Cup Energy Bites? These tidbits, chock full of flavor, satisfy my three requirements: delicious, nutritious and easy to make.

On the Tube
Before I was an author, I spent twenty years working in film editing. I love story telling and I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to analyzing and appreciating the work of directors, writers, actors and editors. This week I found a binge-able gem. Red Rock is an Irish police procedural that had me on the edge of my seat wondering when the villain would meet his comeuppance. Check it out on Amazon Prime.
What I’m Grateful For…

Grateful for silver linings. When the world feels crazy I remember these challenges are our opportunities for growth. And if we’re not willing to grow now, then when?
Help Animals Now!
Countless people have been adversely affected by the the unprecedented and devastating fires in Los Angeles, a place I once called home for over twenty years. The loss of wildlife and displacement of pets is inconceivable. I urge you to donate in whatever way you can. Whether it’s a financial donation, or you reshare lost pet notices on social media, or become a volunteer, please open your heart and help our animal friends.
Did You Miss Last Week’s Post, “The Power in the Paws?”
“When Do You Pay Attention?
Do you pay attention to your body when it’s whispering or do you wait until it shouts?
On the surface, life looked great. Ken and I were thriving with a newfound connection through our thirty-day challenge – which was well on its way towards ninety days. Grace and I were enjoying our daily hikes and excursions to the dog park. And I was busy getting my marketing and publicity plan together for my upcoming memoir, Junkyard Girl: A Memoir of Ancestry, Family Secrets, and Second Chances.
Still, something felt a little bit off.…”
